The FSP organization originated circa 2001 from three (3) mainframe security User Groups: ECAUG (Eastern Canada ACF2 Users Group), ORUG (Ontario RACF Users Group), and TORTUS (TOronto Topsecret USers). Since its humble beginnings, the eCeT (Eastern Canada eTrust) User Group has joined and the mainframe security product restriction was dropped. Today, our registered membership sits around 450 and comes from various security and technical backgrounds.

Our bi-annual Security Seminar events in Toronto has also evolved from product specific presentations to product agnostic engagements. The Security Seminars are free events, and funded through the generosity of various security vendors.
